Never thought I would say this but the scientist scene is done.
Sorted a rough sound mix and sent the clip to composer Mark Pover who has graciously agreed to write a soundtrack for it.
Now need to go back to the beginning and start finalising each shot. First up the opening wide shot that ties in from the opening credits. It's a day for night scene. Got to match the pan from the moon to the shot and then grade for night time....
Didn't think I would be saying this but I am finishing the last scientist scene!
Having to render a new background plate as the existing one I have been using isn't long enough. The last rendered version needs more tweaks as the steam from the space shuttle rockets runs out at the end and Greame looks at the camera! Just slight adjustments to the in and out points and we should be there.
I then just want to revisit the first mid shot as there appears to be excessive blurring around Alex compared with later shots - it's possible I have just got better at the keying method as I went along!! Once that is sorted we are on a roll.
Have had a stab at some ambience sounds for the hanger interior and will use the same style effect for the actors voices to give it more of a 'hanger' sound to it. Only needs to be subtle mind you!
