Met with actress Christie Emby and she has asked me to work on her showreel. Some great new footage to work with so looking forward to getting stuck in.

The revised version of the DVD cover for the short film Fragile has been signed off. Supplied 10 or so stills as well for the press pack.
Taking the design from the A5 flyer, produced a standard DVD cover. Come up with the tag line "An eye for an eye...".
After downloading a free tooth model from TurboSquid.com, created a similiar box in CGI to match the ones used in the film and rendered out an extreme close up of the tooth (over night!). In photoshop added blood around the base and a few splats all over. Used it on the back cover of the DVD but I feel it needs to blend more so will work on it again tonight. Sent the whole thing as is to Laura to gauge what she wants - the text on the back needs to be better. Early days though!! ![]() Designed an A5 flyer for the upcoming short Fragile. Based around the films actual titles I feel it still needs some sort of tag line underneath the main image. I have sent this onto Laura the director to see if she likes. If so, this can be adapted for the DVD cover. I have suggested on the back we could use a close up shot of a tooth in it's container so giving a go at that in Cinema 4D as I don't have the props to take a photo of and I am note sure the tooth props would stand up to close scrutiny! Very excited ! I have put my order in for three CP.2 lenses: 15mm T2.9, 35mm T1.5 and 85mm T1.5 Estimated delivery October. I AM A VERY LUCKY MAN !!!!!!!! Cannot thank Ron Mounteneny enough for his generosity and I hope he would have been pleased with what I have done with his bequest.
Created a very simple Cancer Research poster for a Cake Sale being held in Edinburgh.
It's all done! Just need the director's sign off and it's finished.
DVD covers etc to do next though! Great news. The director of Fragile is very happy with the latest version of her film with the added soundtrack.
Two small comments, one about the stabbing sequence - actors screams/cries from being stabbed needs to be heard more; and the final end credit needs to be brighter/bolder and come up earlier. No need for any 'happy' music after the stabbing scene but I might just have a look for something as it is quite a long sequence with nothing at all - maybe something like a radio playing in the background quietly.... Will crack on at the weekend. |
